SINGLEWIRE OZTKM 01, produced by Özteknik, is an open frame single wire machine for squaring blocks of marble and granite and for thick cuts.
The machine structure is made of two columns strongly fixed to foundations and one connecting transversal beam built in large thickness normalized steel work. Two carts which slide vertically on the columns of the support structure for the vertical motion of the cutting wire. The carts are moved vertically by screw/nut screw mechanisms, which are controlled by asynchronous motor. The wire is rotated by a driving pulley with a diameter of 1000 mm.
A driven pulley with the same diameter 1000 mm is kept constantly under tension by a hydraulic cylinder. Machine has 2 guide pulleys whose function is to drive the wire next to the point where it gets into, and comes out from, the block to be sawn.

Controls: Özteknik multiwire machine is controlled by a PLC system. PLC manages diamond wires’ tension degree and wires’ individual elongation. Consequently, the machine can control the cutting parameters automatically. In addition, technicians can reach and change wires’ parameters such as speed, downfeed via a user- friendly touchscreen. If the programmed parameters exceed pre-determined limits, the machine cycling stops rapidly. Additionally, the machine is equipped with wire break detection sensors. When a wire breaks, the machine stops immediately.
